Surgical hair restoration using transplanted follicles provides permanent results, as these grafts are genetically resistant to typical hair loss. Supportive treatments such as laser therapy may help maintain scalp health and enhance long-term outcomes.

Timeline depends on the method used. After surgical hair transplantation, most patients begin to see new hair growth in 3-4 months, with more substantive density and appearance by 9 months to a year, and full maturation often around 12-18 months. Non-surgical therapies may show improvements in thickness and shedding sooner (a few months), though full effects accumulate over time.

Dr. Ambay offers both surgical and non-surgical hair restoration options:
